      After made sketches of the man, I have experimented with different size and quality of a material. I found out that small pieces of the lino is more suitable for bigger details, because it is hard to get clear image of the cut movement restriction.

Sketches of A Man for Lino Cut

      Looking at movies about a kitchen stories, I have made sketches of a man - the kitchen chef' -, where especially payed attention how movement, gestures and  face expressions indicates natural scenes. To know better my subject 'The Man' offering food cats, was helpful  to do observational drawings.
